Volunteer Coordinator (Part-Time)

TEAM is a volunteer-dependent organization serving families in crisis in the Tomball 
community. TEAM is looking for a talented part-time Volunteer Coordinator to increase
volunteer recruitment success. This important addition to TEAM’s paid staff and will spend 
most of the time developing relationships with organizations in the Tomball community 
resulting in the recruitment of additional volunteers serving in all aspects of TEAM 
operations.

TEAM represents 21 member churches in the Tomball community and serves Tomball-area 
families that are experiencing a financial crisis. TEAM’s operations include an Assistance 
Ministry meeting financial requests, a Food Pantry meeting requests for groceries, and a 
Resale Shop open to the public with a wide variety of items for sale and meeting client 
requests for clothing and basic household goods.

TEAM’s Volunteer Coordinator will become familiar with all of TEAM’s operations and stay 
updated with current needs for volunteers. Across all TEAM operations, our greatest need is 
for volunteers who can commit to a regular (weekly) involvement, receive training for a 
specific operational role, and come regularly to engage in those duties. The Volunteer 
Coordinator will develop relationships in the community with organizations that are most 
likely to represent individuals who would be interested and available to fill these 
expectations.

The ideal candidate would:
• Be college-educated
• Be comfortable working with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications (specifically, 
Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Be capable of handling numerous tasks simultaneously
• Have strong communication skills
• Be able to present to small and large groups
• Enjoy being out in the community, developing relationships, and encouraging 
involvement
• Work closely with TEAM leadership to direct potential volunteers to the 
opportunities that best fit their skills and interests
