February 15 is international Angelman Syndrome day.

Angelman syndrome is a very rare disability that affects around 1-18,000 individuals. Angelman Syndrome causes severe intellectual disability, delayed motor development, difficulty with speech and language, and movement and balance problems (ataxia). Angelman syndrome also causes seizures, sleep disturbances, feeding difficulties, and gastrointestinal problems. Dispute all of their disabilities people with Angelman syndrome have happy and excitable demeanor, frequent laughter and smiling, short attention span, and hyperactivity. In honor of International Angelman Syndrome day on February 15 we are asking that you light it blue! Blue is the ribbon color for Angelman Syndrome! If you happen to have any blue lighting around your home or business we ask to turn them on for the 15 to show support and to help raise awareness of this rare disability.
