HCA HOUSTON HEALTHCARE TOMBALL LAUNCHES THORACIC LUNG NODULE PROGRAM

HOUSTON, Texas (July 10, 2026) – HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball has launched a Thoracic Lung Nodule Program designed to help identify incidental lung nodules found during routine computed tomography (CT) imaging and connect patients to timely pulmonary evaluation and follow-up care.

Lung nodules are often discovered during CT scans performed for other medical reasons. HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball’s program uses advanced technology to review CT exams and flag incidental lung nodules that may require additional evaluation, helping reduce gaps in follow-up care and supporting a more streamlined path from detection to next steps.

“Launching our lung nodule program is an important step in helping our community detect potential lung cancer earlier, when treatment options may be more effective,” said Robert Marmerstein, CEO of HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball. “By connecting patients to the right resources quickly, we can reduce delays, ease anxiety and support better outcomes.”

The Lung Nodule Program includes coordinated care designed to support patients and their care teams, including personalized risk assessment, individualized care plans and clear, patient-centered conversations about next steps and treatment options when appropriate.
