Local trauma nurses demonstrate lifesaving bleeding control techniques for the community

What: HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball hosts free, hands-on Stop the Bleed® training to help community members learn how to respond during bleeding emergencies before first responders arrive. Attendees will receive practical instruction on using direct pressure, wound packing and tourniquets.

Stop the Bleed® Week raises awareness about the importance of bystander response and equips the public with simple, lifesaving techniques that can be used in emergencies ranging from car accidents to everyday injuries.
