Playhouse 1960 Brings the Island Vibes with Escape to Margaritaville
HOUSTON, TX — It’s time to grab your flip-flops, dig out your loudest Hawaiian shirt, and set sail for a night of sunshine and songs as Playhouse 1960 proudly presents Escape to Margaritaville! Opening May 16, this feel-good musical is your passport to island life, packed with Jimmy Buffett's biggest hits and a whole lot of tropical fun.
Whether you're a Parrothead or just need a beachy break from real life, this musical comedy has it all—romance, laughter, and the perfect soundtrack for a mental vacation. Expect toe-tapping classics like “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” and, of course, “Margaritaville.” Directed by Kelly Oakes, Escape to Margaritaville is the high-energy getaway Houston didn’t know it needed!
