HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball celebrates 50 years with first baby, nurse born there and time capsule

What: HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball will celebrate 50 years of hospital care in the Tomball community with an afternoon honoring five decades of caring for generations of patients and families throughout Tomball, Magnolia and surrounding communities.

Guests will take a walk through the hospital’s history, followed by the ceremonial sealing of a 50th anniversary time capsule. The time capsule will preserve a snapshot of the hospital and community in 2026 and will be opened in 25 years.

The celebration will also bring together people whose lives are connected to the hospital across generations, including Laura Golemon, the first baby born at the hospital 50 years ago, and Olivia Alvis, a nurse who was born at the hospital 36 years ago and now cares for patients there.
