Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum Named 2025 Volunteer of the Year by Montgomery County Food Bank

Montgomery County Food Bank (MCFB) recently announced its 2025 Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope Gala honorees and Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum (CWJF) was named Volunteer of the Year.

This award honors an individual or group for their outstanding volunteer service with the MCFB. CWJF’s commitment to volunteer service has been a driving force behind the success of many Food Bank initiatives, including food distributions and special events. Since 2020, more than 140 members have volunteered their time, contributing over 4,000 combined service hours to MCFB.  CWJF volunteers twice a month at the Food Bank and in the community with a monthly senior distribution, providing nonperishable food and fresh produce to seniors at their door.

“We are so honored by this recognition,” says CWFJ President, Amy Terry.  “Our members love serving at the MCFB and every time we leave, we know that we have made a huge difference in the lives of many individuals and families.  We look forward to continuing to work alongside the MCFB to impact countless neighbors in need.”
