Middle School Cheer Coach
Job summary: The Middle School Cheer Coach is responsible for leading and developing the Junior High Cheer program in a manner that reflects the mission, values, and Christian worldview of Rosehill Christian School. This coach will work closely with the Athletic Department to cultivate a program that emphasizes excellence, encouragement, unity, and Christ-like character.

Type of position: This is a stipend-only position, covering two sports seasons (football and basketball), beginning in August and continuing through the end of January. Previous coaching experience is not required; however, cheerleading and/or dance experience is preferred.
SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION
Job summary: seeks a coach who views athletics as a platform for discipleship and character formation. The ideal candidate will intentionally invest in the spiritual growth of student-athletes, build meaningful relationships, and reinforce values such as discipline, teamwork, respect, and perseverance. Coaches are expected to support the holistic development of students—mind, body, and spirit—while fostering a positive and God-honoring team culture.
Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to collaborate within the Athletic Department, maintain schedule availability for practices and games, and support the broader school community. All coaches are expected to uphold the mission, values, and policies of Rosehill Christian School.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Planning and leading practices and game-day routines

Teaching and developing cheer skills, including stunting and tumbling

Organizing and leading pep rallies and performances

Accompanying the team to cheer camp, events, and competitions

Mentoring student-athletes spiritually, academically, and athletically

Modeling servant leadership, integrity, and sportsmanship consistent with a biblical worldview
