Health & Wellness Committee Meeting

Our Purpose:
The Greater Tomball Area Health and Wellness Committee is a collaborative effort among healthcare entities, providers and businesses in the greater Northwest Houston region providing health and wellness related platforms to support economic development. The alliance will focus on providing opportunities which support healthcare professionals and wellness initiatives for a healthy and vibrant community.

Our Committee Members:
?Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce Members in good standing.
?Attend meetings regularly.
?Actively serve to develop and implement programs/events within our Areas of Focus.

Our Areas of Focus:
    Community Luncheons - General health and wellness related talks for providers, business owners and citizens on relevant health and wellness issues. These events offer local experts an opportunity to engage and educate with colleagues, offer local businesses the chance to highlight their products and services, and offer the audience a time of networking, lunch, and access to valuable resources.
    Community Blood Drives ? Partnered with MD Anderson Cancer Center to give our community the opportunity to give blood on a regular basis at location that is convenient for all!
    Tomball Night Health & Wellness Expo - Offers area families a unique and interactive evening of fun focused on keeping them healthy and active! Our goal is to increase awareness about the resources available in our community that promote healthy family lifestyles.
    Chamber Cup Challenge - Supports workplace wellness initiatives in place within our community and encourages collaboration as co-ed teams are formed by area businesses and organizations and entered in the Challenge. This event will be held at the D. Bradley McWilliams YMCA.
    Monthly Planning Luncheon ? Brown Bag | 12 ? 1pm | Last Tuesday of each month
The Health & Wellness Committee is a working committee that meets monthly to review and discuss projects identified within each area of focus, and to consider opportunities for the committee to fulfill its purpose within our community. At select meetings, Community Partners will educate us on current trends, best practices, and will have the opportunity to raise our committee?s level of awareness on how we can support each other.
