“BUGS, BREW & BARBECUE” KICKS OFF FALL FESTIVAL SEASON IN TOMBALL
The second annual “Bugs, Brew & Barbecue” will kick off Tomball’s fall festival season on Saturday, September 29th at Depot Plaza, 201 South Elm Street.
More than 75 classic VW “bugs” from the North Houston Volkswagen Club will be on display around the historic Depot in downtown Tomball. Beetles, vans, Ghias and dune buggies, swap-meeters and more will be on-site from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. along South Elm, Market, and South Walnut Streets.
Cisco’s Salsa Company will be pouring more than 30 craft brews from Texas breweries such as:
- Southern Star
- Karbach
- No Label
- St. Arnold
- Shiner
- Real Ale
- Alamo
- Independence
- Rahr & Sons
Tomball’s own Original Rib Tickler and Dickey’s Barbecue Pit are among the local barbecue restaurants serving tasty pulled pork and chopped brisket sandwiches, sausage and more.
Live music begins at noon with CCR tribute band “Unfortunate Sons”, classic rock band “The Bottle Rockers”, and Honky Tonkers “Jeff Woolsey & the Dancehall Kings.”
The Kids Zone will be filled with activities such as pony rides, petting zoo, bounce house, face painting and more. And, there will be a dozen or more vendors with handmade crafts, jewelry, and yard art.
