Celebration of Dance presented by Houston Repertoire Ballet
Mark your calendar, reserve your seats, and join us for a celebration of life, of beauty, and moments of childhood simplicity - a true celebration of the art of dance!
Celebration of Dance is a family-friendly fusion of classical and new works. At only $12 for students/seniors and $15 for adults, it's an afternoon of fine arts you won't want to miss.
Each performance features:
Victoria Vittum's Storybook Fantasy - A favorite of our youngest patrons, and a special trip down memory lane for the adults, kick off the afternoon spending some time with your favorite storybook characters, including Raggedy Ann and Andy, the Cat in the Hat, Snow White, and many others!
Paquita - A fiery, energy-filled classic by famous choreographer Marius Petipa, Paquita will delight with its Spanish flair, its grand corps de ballet, and principal guest artists from Ballet Idaho, HRB alumna Elizabeth Keller and Andrew Taft.
Shostakovich Suite - Join us for Houston Repertoire Ballet's premiere of Steve Brulé's Shostakovich Suite, an elegant yet playful ballet inspired by the ballerinas of famous painter, Edgar Degas.
Plus, two new pieces by emerging choreographers Leah Smith and Rebecca Webb.
