The Connected Child: Successfully parenting an adopted child - Parenting adopted children often requires different skills than parenting biological children. Join this free sixteen week study, exploring the biblical principles in Karyn Purvis' The Connected Child to learn strategies for building bonds of affection and trust with your adopted child. This class is valuable for anyone who has welcomed children in any situation, including a child from other countries and cultures, from troubled backgrounds, and/or with special behavioral and emotional needs. It provides the tools parents need to love their children well and creatively guide those children to learn new strategies for coping with the world around them. This class is led by dedicated parents who have 2 biological sons and 2 adopted daughters. Begins January 2 at Salem Community Center, 9 am - 10 am, CC2004. Located west of FM2920, 2 ½ miles from the Kroger Center, 22601 Lutheran Church Road, Tomball, TX 77377. For more information, call 281.351.8223.
