Mike and the Moonpies, whose sound has been compared to outlaw legends such as Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson as well as contemporary firebrands such as Hayes Carl, are renowned for bringing the house down at gigs both in- and outside of Texas. The quintet offers up rowdy original dancehall anthems to get the crowd singing along with a generous helping of barroom troubadour ballads to pull the dancers out of the crowd. The Moonpies, who recently released their full length album "The Hard Way", have been working the audiences alongside Texas favorites such as Eleven Hundred Springs, Cory Morrow and The Josh Abbott Band and recently performed a slot with Dwight Yoakam at Stubb's in Austin. Mike and the Moonpies are currently touring in support of their current album ?The Hard Way?.
