LSCS to offer free “Breaking Boundaries in the Workforce”
event on March 28
HOUSTON (March 22, 2012) – As the annual Women’s Month celebration at Lone Star College-CyFair comes to a close, a “Breaking Boundaries in the Workforce” panel discussion will be held March 28.
“Continuing our 2012 theme ‘Empowering Women to Be All We Can Be’, this panel will explore and learn what women experience in male-dominated fields, such as engineering, finance, law, medicine and more,” said Fay Lee, committee member. “This is also a great opportunity for students to ask our panelists about internships and other job-related interests.”
Among the panelists are Texas State Rep. Patricia Harless, R-Dist.126; Anna Ha, attorney for Jones Day; Joy Hall, project manager (engineering) for ConocoPhillips Co.; Tien San Lucas, financial analyst for Brasada Capital Management; and Elizabeth Garcia, police officer at LSC-CyFair.
Light refreshments will be served at this event set for 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the Technology Building, Room 102 at LSC-CyFair at 9191 Barker Cypress.
