Kinsmen Lutheran Church invites local high school students and their parents to a free online workshop on Wednesday, April 21 about preparing effective student resumes and college essays. The workshop is open to the community and will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, on Zoom. The workshop will also address how the pandemic continues to affect the college application process. Presented by Virginia L. Blackwell, an independent educational consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the field of college admissions, this informative seminar will help students develop a picture of themselves on paper, so college admissions officers can quickly understand the student’s accomplishments and experience. Virginia will be joined at the workshop by her associate, Bethany Scott, who is a former University of Texas admissions officer. To register, visit http://bit.ly/kinsmencollegeworkshop. Kinsmen Lutheran Church is a congregation that strives to be rooted in faith and relevant to life. For more information, please visit www.KinsmenLutheran.org or call (281) 444-3126.
