Ducks Unlimited Greenwing Day to be held Saturday, May 5, 2012 10:00am – 1pm
Free and Open to the Public. Dedicated to the education of youth on the importance of the outdoors, wetlands and wildlife habitat.
Dewberry Farms, Brookshire Texas.:  The Greater Houston Greenwing Chapter of Ducks Unlimited is hosting its 10^th Annual Youth in the Outdoors Greenwing Day on May 5th. The day is filled with hands on activities focused on getting our youth active in the outdoors.
 
Our desire is to create a day for children to catch a fish, climb a rock wall, shoot shooting clays, archery, or BB guns, and experience a day like no other.  For some of these children this will be their first experience in these activities.
Activities include fishing, kayaking, archery, birdhouse building, sporting clay and rimfire rifle shooting, rock wall climbing, Texas Parks and Wildlife exhibits and much more. Numerous items have been donated for raffles and door prizes including a variety of outdoor equipment. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served. Each child attending will receive a 1 yr Greenwing membership including the Puddler magazine, membership card and a Greenwing decal. The only cost is that we ask for a donation of two canned goods per person which will be donated to Boys and Girls Country.
