In this seminar’s morning session, you will learn about the
changes in HIV/AIDS patients throughout the past 30 years.
During the afternoon session, you’ll hear an oral health
update, which will include the latest research into the
prevalence of HPV in the oral cavity, along with information
about other emerging diseases and the consequences of
these diseases on oral health.
Presented by Dr. C. Mark Nochols, Vice President of Clinical Services, Bering Omega Clinic.
Upon completion of the course, the learner will:
-Demonstrate comprehension of current issues or topics or
new/updated guidelines.
-Describe the changes in the treatment of HIV/AIDS patients
both medically and dentally.
-Describe the importance of educating dental patients about
the relationship of HPV and oral cancer.
-Apply the course knowledge in the clinical setting to educate
patients in the prevention of disease.
