An array of family activities is planned for Woodforest's Spring into Fun Tour of Homes, open until 5 p.m. April 16 and from noon to 5 p.m. April 17, including a hunt for 5,000 Easter eggs and the opening of Woodforest?s Lily Pad Park spray ground. Other activities around Woodforest include a petting zoo, a balloon artist, inflatable speed pitch, arts and crafts, hairspray-painting booth, air brush tattoo artist, miniature motorized speedboat races, live radio remotes and free hot dogs and ice cream. Representatives from the Houston chapter of Lemonade Day will serve lemonade to encourage kids to sign up for the May 1 Lemonade Day, an initiative to teach children entrepreneurial skills that drew 50,000 local participants last year.
Visitors to Woodforest can register for prizes by having their event cards stamped at eight model homes in the community. In addition, custom builders George Weaver, Inc. and Jeff Paul Custom Homes will have homes open for touring.
