Glassblowing Assistant Internship

Want to expand your resume and free your creativity? 

Experience a once in a lifetime internship with Glassblowing Houston! This unique internship program will last 4-6 weeks(unpaid) with opportunities for a permanent position afterward ($15/hr) giving you the chance to experience, learn, and create the magic of glassblowing!  Come burn off some steam with our brand new rebuilt furnace, or relax and take a load of glass off in our cold working shop.  Come on out and be immersed in the community.  During the internship, you will assist and work with glass artists in teaching classes and producing artwork regularly. You’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience while making glass magic happen right in front of our guests. During the program, you will work towards building transferable skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and effective communication.

Basic Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age at the time of application
Possess unrestricted work authorization within the United States
Be receptive to a starting rate of 15$/hr
Be fully available to work Saturday-Sunday including days and nights as well as holidays.
