The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free of charge. Immerse yourself in the rich history and vibrant culture of the African American community through artwork\, live performances\, and engaging art activities inspired by influential Black artists. Enjoy story time at 10:30 a.m.\, followed by a West African drumming performance by Joy of Djembe Drumming at 11 a.m. During the event\, the museum will also give away 50 Chromebooks (one per family) to families who can provide proof of free and reduced lunch. Family Day is free and open to the community\, but registration is requested at pearlmfa.org.
