Mickey is a retired police sergeant with 26 years of service with the Houston Police Department and holds a bachelor degree in criminal justice from the University of Houston.  Mickey also has experience as a mortgage loan officer.  He was born and raised in the Houston Area in Highlands having graduated from Baytown Sterling High School.  He has lived in Highlands\, Spring\, Magnolia\, and Kingwood.\n\nMickey's volunteer work has included president of the Kingwood Park High School Athletic Booster Club\; committee assignments in organizing the Houston Police Officers Golf tournaments supporting wounded law enforcement officers and military veterans\, Wounded Warriors\, and the USO\; volunteering for the Candlelighters organization and Make a Wish Foundation\, 911 Hero's Run supporting first responders and veterans\,  Disaster Action Team (DAT) member and Disaster Services Human Resources (DSHR) member with the American Red Cross\, and Livestock Committee Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.\n\nMickey is married to Leslie Keyes\, a real estate agent.
